⇨Busy Week
i worked overtime today and first time ever, was at nvc (newater visitor ctr). as everyone knows, the centre is closed on every monday for maintenance. due to the water week, today was the exception. me, along with 2 other senior guides were tasked to do vip tours and i wasn't prepared at all! reason being tt i saw the tour plan few days back and according to the vip tours given, 3 of us were to handle 2 tours each, in which i "thought" wasn't so strenous after all. however, as much as i was already satisfied to the "given schedule", i was totally stunned thereafter. didn't expect last min VIPs. well and what was the outcome of that? i was asked to do 4 tours! all within the timeframe of 5hrs. (cos my OT was supposed to be 4hrs but due to a last min arrangement, i was asked to extend an hr of my OT).
alright, im very sure the water week's gonna drain us all out. tours after another. its basically like this - there are alot of additional tours tt top up the usual 5 tours/day. delegates coming & tt shows we gotta handle VIP tours which are really stressful, i think. and for those of us who will be on duty throughout this period at either MB or NVC, yes, its gonna be v tiring but let us all work hard together ok?!
