⇨Lets talk about the sounds of animals today my cousin, Renee came hm with a list of spelling words which she has to memorize for next week's lesson. btw, she's in K2 this yr. (5yrs turning 6yrs old). here they are: 1) roar 2) neigh 3) hiss 4) chatter 5) grunt 6) trumpet these are the words to describe the sounds made by animals. as she's v young, she came hm nt being able to explain what her teachers taught during class. or rather i should say, she's totally oblivious to the list. (worst still, she gave us a bo-chap look) -.-" therefore, it took me & my mum some time to figure out what are these words for, in order for us to teach her. and finally, we derived w an appropriate explanation. if u were to match these words to their respective animals, can u get them all correct? answers: 1) lions 2) horses 3) snakes 4) monkeys 5) pigs 6) elephants hahas.. frankly speaking, i didn't get the 4th one right until ronnie told me what it is. (i thought chatter refers to human talking - just like chatterbox!) lol! alright dun u all think these words for a kindergarten kid is way too tough? firstly, even if they know how to spell, they may find difficulty in the pronunciation. secondly, even if they can pronounce, they may nt know the meaning. and lastly, in the first place, the kid might nt even know how to spell the "animals", let alone spell the "sounds" made by animals. this is totally ridiculous. don't u all agree?
