tmr's my 22nd birthday. it should be a day to look forward to. though i'm nervous, im equally reluctant - to let go of the past yr, my 21st.
to some ppl, they find tt as you grow older, you don't feel the (need) or anticpation to celebrate anymore. it all depends. to me, i love celebrations & presents. bcos its only once a yr. (:
lets not talk abt the time when we were younger because parents celebrate for us, for e.g. bringing us out to buy present or to eat our favourite food. when we were in sec sch, we exchange presents with frens, though those were nt costly items but they were very sentimental. common yet memorable. the gifts tt we got most of the time during then, were photo frames or soft toys, piggy banks or stars in a bottle etc..
in poly, i had more acquintances than friends, thus, the presents tt i recieved then were definitely lesser already. but of cos, amidst of all these, i stil get presents from my closests pals, sometimes a free meal fr them as well. as for my family, we kinda hv a v traditional way of celebrating birthdays. we would buy cakes every yr without fail. my parents, as usual wil give redpacket tt comes with words of blessings.. as for my brother, he wil gimme presents, different thing every yr. and ever since i had ronnie, i look forward to birthdays even more. tt's because on this very special day, he wil put in extra effort to create many surprises (but sometimes he wil reveal b4 the actual day -.-") lol.
